About the Book
Third Person began with a $3 camera and a trip to Beijing, and was a reflexive collaboration between the subjects and my flash. These things, as they appear in the photographs, existed only in that condition of being photographed, true in the unseen moments. My camera is an unreliable narrator.
The photographs in Third Person were shot in China and Minnesota on black and white 35mm film.
